520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc In this study an attempt has been made to study growth and its eight other related traits of reproduction of beetal Alpinex beetal and saanenx beetal goats. Results indicated that, type of birth, period and season had marked influence on body weight at birth kids born during march-June had higher birth weight than those born in other seasons. Single born kids had higher birth weight than multiple born kids. Exotic X beetal crossbred goatlings conceived at lesser age than beetal goats. March-June was bound favowrade for early conception. Season did not influence gestation length. The alpine X beetal crosses has lower age at first kidding than saanen X beetal and beetal goats. Goats kidded in July to October had higher lactation length than those kided in March to June Months. Dry period was lesser in crossbreds. Than local goats (beetal) season of kiddings had prachically very little influence on dry period. The saanenX beetal breed groups studied. The breeding efficiency of saanenX beetal goats was found higher as all the three methods while alpine X beetal goats had some what poor breeding efficiency than even local goats.
